Hello again,

this two Asilidae - the one attacking the other - allowed me to take a photo, being too busy to watch anything else.

I took the photo in Southern France, on 2008-10-09, in the Mountans "Dentelles deMontmirail" east of Orange, but I think it is the same species that I asked for identification in my last thread.

So perhaps someone can solve both identifications.

It seems to be a Machimus species, like chrysitis, but for a correct identification you have to check the female genitalia.

This is a male and a female... maybe they are not fighting, but it's some kind of mating behaviour?
Do you have more pics?
