Andrzej This (Oeceoptoma thoracica, Sepsidae) is an interesting association as these insects and Heleomyzidae are of forensic importance. They are used to help establish PMI (Post mortem interval
or time of death. The immage is very useful as it shows the characteristic costal spines found in this family- Heleomyzidae.Robert

A lateral aspect is needed for better examination Frown
The best ID is to catch the male also and prepare the genital part.

Andrzej, Robert: many thanks for your information. As regards a lateral view, maybe there's one of acceptable quality, so I'll check soon.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
