I've never seen it, but may be female of Microphor sp., Microphoridae?

Genus Euthyneura. From what I can see are the thoracic setae blackish and then it would be E. myrtilli. Quite widespread, not uncommon and sometimes present in large numbers. Also often found on flowers of Crataegus (very nice to collect when sweeping... Wink).

Thanks a lot Paul,
So that's why it looked somewhat familiar to me - I do a lot of sweeping (and this season collecting Diptera, too Smile).

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
