Hi, I need help with this one. I believe it's a Cyrtopogon but my only key is from "Insecta Helevetica" and there are only two of our species in that key. Any suggestions ? June 6. 2008 Loviisa, Finland and very hot and dry area. Jari JariF attached the following image: [87.48Kb] Edited by JariF on 11-09-2008 18:52 |

Cyrtopogon luteicornis EDIT: Hmm, I just realised it's a male. It may still be luteicornis, but with an unusually weak wing pattern. I'll have to check it someday. Edited by Kahis on 11-09-2008 15:40 Kahis |

Thank's Kahis. I will put the specimen aside with the Sciomyzidae, so I can rename it easily Jari |
