Ochthera sp form Israel

Hi
First post in Diptera.info and I want to start with Ochthera sp be photographed August 2008

Habitat is locally shallow salty puddles from drainage thermomineral water from local spa. The back ground is mix of sand and salts.

BTW. the location of the place (Gahash spa) is 20km north of Tel-Aviv. not far from the sea. the Temp r more then 30 degree and humidity 60-80 %

I can only say that it is NOT O. mantis or O. manicata. I do not know any of the mediterranean species.

I'm fairly sure these are Ochthera schembrii - an excellent set of photos, showing some very interesting behaviour! Cool
