 Looks as if it should be a robber fly but only about 4mm long. Taken today South coast UK.

 It's a predatory fly, yes, but not a robber fly. Meet Platypalpus of the dance fly family Hybotidae.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
