Hello flyforum,

I am wondering if this is Bibio Marci / female;

http://forum.waarneming.nl/forum/index.php?showtopic=6396&st=0&#entry60718

The colour of the legs doesn't fit with this specie I think.. (black)
Size: 1 cm

What Bibio female is it?

greeting, Robert Heemskerk

Moeilijk geval, maar zeker geen marci, zie vleugeladering.
De grootte lijkt me ook tamelijk overdreven, gezien het blad met haren waar het beest op zit. Zonder achtergrondsinfo kan ik geen uitsluitsel geven.

Hi folks,

Following the link in the first post, I saw that an answer came from the diptera.info forum (I suppose this is the answer of Theo), but it remains still something ununderstandable for me. ;-))

Difficult case, but certainly no marci, see wing venation.
The size also seems to be quite exagerated, considering the leaf with hairs that the fly sits on. Without background information I cannot say anything decisive.

Paul,

Thanks a lot.

With my little German and English knowledge, and while trying to tell it aloud, I think I can follow the direction of a discussion in dutch, but it remains hard ;-))

Don't be sorry. I know how it can happen.
