Hello flyforum, I am wondering if this is Bibio Marci / female; http://forum.waarneming.nl/forum/index.php?showtopic=6396&st=0entry60718 The colour of the legs doesn't fit with this specie I think.. (black) Size: 1 cm What Bibio female is it? greeting, Robert Heemskerk |

Hi folks, Following the link in the first post, I saw that an answer came from the diptera.info forum (I suppose this is the answer of Theo), but it remains still something ununderstandable for me. ;-)) Pierre Duhem |

Difficult case, but certainly no marci, see wing venation. The size also seems to be quite exagerated, considering the leaf with hairs that the fly sits on. Without background information I cannot say anything decisive. Theo Zeegers Paul - - - - Paul Beuk on https://diptera.info |

Paul, Thanks a lot. With my little German and English knowledge, and while trying to tell it aloud, I think I can follow the direction of a discussion in dutch, but it remains hard ;-)) Pierre Duhem |
