I found this robberfly in Switzerland, Hasliberg (Berner Oberland) at ca 1000 m altitude. Habitat: small group of bushes between mown grass lands. In view of the ovipositor, it must be Neoitamus. Stubbs & Drake mention the difficulties of separating cothurnatus from cyanurus. I think my photo shows yellow bristles on the front tibia, indicative of cothurnatus. Is my ID correct?
