Surely, it is Tachinidae, but for genus and species you need to wait for Theo Zeegers, he is expert. Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |

The 2nd pic shows a Gymnosoma (Tachinidae). Here's a thread with an European species of the same genus: http://www.dipter...#post_2922 Edited by Kahis on 19-04-2006 10:06 Kahis |

I observed many similar Tachinids in Japan to that on your first enclosed image. For example: http://xespok.net...1000036473 But Tachinids of Japan are not properly known, so I can not help you. Edited by Xespok on 19-04-2006 17:07 |

The first one looks a hell of a lot like the European Dexiosoma canina. John |

the first one is a Tachinid. It looks like Dexiosoma, it could be. My guess would be Dexia, but I cannot be sure. It looks even more like the European Dexia vacua. But there are many Dexia in China. Xespok's link fly seems even more likely to be Dexia. Theo Zeegers |
