To determine what species this is? The bad picture is from 2001 with a very very lousy camera... It's resting on an Opuntia sp. And I guess it's about 10mm or thereabouts... Southern norway as usual...

I'm impressed, it sure looks like Eupeodes corollae!!

and maybe this slightly better picture from yesterday is in fact the same species? I think so...
