Something moving at last!

Finally something is moving in the Italian undergrowth. Would this be a Tachinidae or a Muscidae? Rome, Italy, 5/6 mm. Thanks, Sarah |

Hi Sarah I know, it is difficult, but this one is just far to slender of a Tachinid. Moreover, the arista is plumose with excludes 90 % of the Tachinids (and those with plumose arista are all(?) broadly built) So, it is indeed in Muscidae or Anthomyiidae. Theo |
