Tabanus bovinus - north-western France

Hello, I find this Tabanus in a reserve (marshland) in Brittany. I think it's bovinus. - antenna with little part of red - green eyes - underside ok for bovinus and sudeticus f perplexus but the shape and colour of antenna can exclude this form I suppose. ![]() ![]() BenoƮt |

Totally agree and very nice Eye colouration is also an argument. While sudeticus is doing great in lowland Europe over het last decades, bovinus is in strong decline. So cherish this species ! Theo |
