Hi everyone! Am I right here with Hybomitra arpadi? Palps even more than 2x longer than broad, antennae mostly orange (incl. first 2 segments) without long hairs on first segment, hairs on the back in the middle clearly longer and denser than on sides, eye facets gradually getting larger upwards. Caught out of the air while hovering. 16 mm long. 26. June 2026, Germany, Upper Bavaria, Chiemgau Alps, near summit of Mt. Hochfelln, about 1670 m a.s.l. I'm actually thinking about this, but it's planned for next or maybe after next year, when I have enough finds. Hopefully I can add some more species until then.
Best greetings Rupert |
