Hi everyone! (Always referring to "the book" ) : I'm not so sure about the slenderness of the palps, neither the paleness of the hind segment margins, but if I go with the thicker palps (-> subcallus dusted -> frons narrow and narrowing downward -> red spots over first 3 segments), I end up with either distinguenda (but far too many black hairs on the yellow abdomen parts), or bimaculata var. collini (but no dark hairs on front femurs to be found). So can it be the slender palps, that lead me straight to Hybomitra arpadi then? 16 mm long 21. June 2026, Germany, Upper Bavaria, northern slopes of Mt. Hochfelln, about 1000 m a.s.l., coordinates 47.77218, 12.55892 Rupert Huber attached the following image: ![]() [195.37Kb] Edited by Rupert Huber on 27-06-2026 17:35 Best greetings Rupert |

First antennal segment is very orange, so should be solstitialis. Definitely NOT arpadi. Theo |

Thanks! Even better yet, so one more species (21 so far at this mountain). I already wondered about the colour of the notopleural lobe, but decided to consider it as dark... Best greetings Rupert |
