Hello, I am reposting this topic here, as it was not originally placed in the correct forum. This male Ceratopogonidae was observed during a night survey using a mercury vapour lamp. Do you think it could be Culicoides pulicaris, as we suspect? ![]() JC Bartolucci : France : Damazan : 47160 : 07/04/2020 Altitude : NR - Taille : 5 mm Réf. : 292670 Thanks in advance. It's Culicoides or tribe Ceratopogonini. I don't know the European wing patterns. |

Thank you very much, John, for your reply. I will leave it as Culicoides / Ceratopogonini for now, as it seems safer not to go further without specialist knowledge of the European wing patterns. Best regards, JC |
