I have a singel female specimen of this species that was swept down by a lake. Main vegetation close to water is ling (mainly Calluna vulgaris). Could be swept above dead bird or faeces of sheep or geese. Could this be C. notabilis? Collected 15. august 2025 Faroe Islands Thanks Jógvan F Species of Crumomyia recorded from the Faroe Islands: C. nigra C. nitida Jogvan F attached the following image: ![]() [240.02Kb] |
