The palps are broad, flattened, white with black tips and bases.

Hi Christoophe, This is a male of the Urophora dzieduszyckii-syriaca-pontica complex, which I am re-revising for the first time since my White and Korneyev 1986 and Korneyev & White 1993 revisions, now based on molecular sequences. The only thing I badly need are the Southern France population, which I do not know where to place. I have all the Middle Asian, Iranian, Israeli and Ukrainian DNA sequences, but no S French yet. Any fresh 96% alcohol material is welcome (or a few flower heads of Echinops from there!) I am currently at the Berlin Museum fur Naturkunde.
