Neomyennis appendiculata (Hendel, 1909) male (Pterocallini) (compared to Axiologina, a larger, 4.5-6 mm vs. 2.5-4 in Axiologina. gray-and-brown densely microtrichose fly occurring in Southern Brazil, Uruguay and N Argentina) Axiologina is a Central American (to Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and perhaps to Guyana eastward the Caribbean shore) genus NOT occurring in Southern Brazil at all.
