Nosferatumyia - another one from the Cemetery. I am rather sure that I had T. formosa there last week. Now this one, which looks different to me, comparison from www leads mes to Tephritis bardanae. ID please, if possible from these pictures. Thank you very much, Jörg

Yes, Tephritis bardanae, they are still common this week in Berlin. in July, they are mainly replaced by Terellia tussilaginis, which use opened flower heads for oviposition (rather than buds used by T. bardanae).
Concerning T. formosa -- yes, they are present in Berlin and Brandenburg, on Sonchus oleraceus, which is used here and there among "artificial wild flowers" here in Mitte.

Thank you so much, Val, for your confirmations. Here the Tephritidae I found - within 4 weeks - at the cemetry on plants growing together on about 2qm :-)

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
