Hi,
This Eupeodes I met in Berlin on 15 October. I hope this is E. corollae, because the light spots seem to extend to the tergite margins. However, you know better how to discriminate between E. luniger and E. corollae, so please let me share yor experience.
Thanks, Sundew

Hi Claudia,
this is female Eupeodes corollae indeed, for the reason you advanced. Also in E. luniger the black spot at vertex level extends in front as a black Y.
Stephane.
