Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, walking path along the rivulet Düpenau, bushes like Rubus, Corylus, Acer, Salix and other, in the lower vegetation in the grass; 7th of May 2024. Photos: kuv.
Checking the threads of Diptera.info I think the female looks similarly to Bibio femoralis (but the male did not fit for B. femoralis). Sorry, so no real idea - please help to get the ID.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
