Could someone please help me to identify this Asilidae?
The photo was made near Barcelona, Catalonia, today 2.9.2023.

Hi,

Choerades is indeed the correct genus. Check Ch. marginata/femorata.

I would say it's Ch. fimbriatus. Determination based on characteristic stripes of yellow hair on posterior part of tergites, tibiae with dominance of yellow hairs, and visible long protruding hairs on apical part of male genitalia.

and scapus approx. twice as long as pedicellus confirms C. fimbriata, too.
