Hello, Yesterday I photographed a yellow fly with black dots on its abdomen in the garden. Is it possibly Sapromyzosoma quadripunctata or is it impossible to determine the species from the picture? Germany, Saarland, Bexbach, Garden, Absolute Altitude 250 m, 05.08.2023 Greetings, Volker |

Sapromyzosoma quadricincta (or, less likely, laevatrispina)

Hello Paul, I thought Sapromyzosoma quadricincta has only two spots on the abdomen, but my specimen has 4 spots. Could it be a different species then? Greetings, Volker |
