Hi, Here are two small moth flies, the left one from Berlin (2.4.2010) and the right one from Thuringia (31.8.2011). I think they belong to the same species. The wings don't seem to be patterned (though this is often a matter of light incidence), but the base of the outer margin is covered in long yellow hairs. The wing posture does not fit well with Psychoda, so I am stuck. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [260.77Kb] |

Both are Philosepedon and both have a complte M-fork. In the Netherlands it would be P.humeralis and maybe in Germany too. But there are other species. |

Many thanks! Only P. humeralis is known for the regions Berlin/Brandenburg and Thuringia, so we should be on the safe side. |
