Hi,

This hoverfly relieved itself on the wall of our house in a Munich suburb. Frown

My guess is that it could be a female of Cheilosia sp.. Can that be confirmed or excluded from the attached images and/or is a narrower determination possible ?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), 05.08.2022, app. 8 mm

Greetings, Uli

With hairless eyes and darkened crossveins, I am quite certain it is C. caerulescens.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
