I found this male species on La Gomera (Canary islands), Palmarejo. 02-03-2022. There are 2 species in the 2009 list that occur on la Gomera. Tolmerus fuscus and Tolmerus antennatus But I don't have any description of these 2 species so I've problems with the ID. Any help is welcome ... Best regards |

Hi Johan, Have you tried this key? There are both descriptions of T. fuscus and T. antennatus. Hradský, Milan & Bosak, Jaroslav. (2006). Distribution of some species of robberflies (Diptera, asilidae) in the Canary Islands, and description of three new species of genus Tolmerus Loew, 1849.. Čas. Slez. Muz. Opava (A). 55. 135-145. Best, Jonne |
