Most likely Melanostoma scalare female.
Next time please mention time and place of capture.. Smile

Sorry Andre, you're quite right. All my photos are in any case taken near Rome, Italy (unless I specify otherwise) and it was taken the day I posted it. I did think of Melanostoma scalare as I have a similar photo in my archives which resembles it greatly. Thanks and I'll remember to always include the details in future, Wink Sarah
