Observed recently in east China. Leg coloration suggests both Promachus spp. (say, P. rufipes and P. yesonicus) and Neoitamus spp. (say, N. angusticornis). But postocular bristles look somewhat bent forward. So, is Neoitamus a promising candidate? Many thanks in advance!

A lateral view would be needed, but it is not Promachus and probably not Neoitamus. It is subfamily Asilinae though. |
