Today I found this hover fly sitting on a blossom near a forest path, can somebody tell me, which species this is ?
Data: Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia , D-59519 Möhnesee-Neuhaus, 5.30.2022

I would say Sericomyia silentis, though the picture is not ideal. Do you have a dorsal view? Are there some bogs or wet places around?

@ Matej : I could only take one picture than it flew away. There are wet places around, a brook and bog.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
