Hello,

This male of Ceratopogonidae is seen during a night propsection with a mercury vapor lamp. Do you think it could be Culicoides pulicaris as we suspect?

Culicoides is correct. Species ID may be slightly more complicated, see e.g. the image here: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00436-009-1407-z/figures/1.
