This was a very interesting Acalyptrate fly. Probably an Ephydrid. If so I have never seen such an elongate Ephydrid. Only allowed this single shpt. Hi Gabor, it looks like one I had ID'd as Ditrichophora (in a Facebook Group I think). Mine was Ditrichophora calceata as shown in my Flickr Page. https://www.flick...ateposted/ Photo taken at the same angle seems to match up... Regards Roger... |

Thanks. Ditrichophora is likely. I tried to key this out, but there are a lot of species in Hungary, so I do not think this can be identified to species from this photo
