Hello,
In the south of France on 10 July 2021, at 800 m. altitude in the Aveyron department.
About 17 mm.
I thought of a Bombyliidae but I am not sure because it did not have the hovering flight of the Bombilius...

I had not thought of Tabanidae and I think it could be a male Pangonius micans.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
