Hello, I found this approx. 9 mm large fly on 20.06.2021 in the underpass at the train station Baden-Baden-Oos. I had posted this fly then in the forum "insektenfotos.de" and Jürgen Peters had written: "very interesting! This might be the first representative of the "worm lions" (Vermileonidae) in the forum. Very similar is for example _Vermileo nigriventris_ I was not aware that the family (still) occurs in Germany, these are rather Mediterranean animals. You should definitely post (also for protection of the species) in the Dipterenforum: https://www.diptera.info/forum/. There are certainly people who are interested in the find.
