Hi Katrin, I think it fits good to C. arcuatum: antenna segment 3 longer than 1+2, abdomen short & broad & arched & yellow hairs.

Hi Eric, I do not understand what you mean with C. arcuatum. In German identification keys there is no C. arcuatum or it is a synonym for C. festivum.
Kind regards, Katrin

Hi Katrin, I've used "Fotogids Zweefvliegen", 2014 (André Schulten) and "De nederlandse
zweefvliegen", 2009 (Reemer, Renema, van Steenis, Zeegers, Barendregt, Smit, van Veen, van Steenis, van der Leij).
C. arcuatum (Linnaeus, 1758) was also described as C. fasciatum (Müller, 1764) but this was corrected by Iliff & Chandler 1995, 2000, ICZN 2001.
Greetings, Eric
