Hi,
I have photographed this bug near a forest pond (40km WNW of Paris).
Feeding on a hogweed.
About 6-7mm long.
Any idea of its identity?
Thanks for any help,
FRV

It belongs to family Miridae, genus
Lygus, a difficult one. To get a relatively certain ID, you must see the puncture of the hemielytra (corium and clavus) as well as the density of the hairiness (see p. 11 of
https://www.briti..._422Kb.pdf). A key in German is given in
https://publicati...f/1164.pdf from p. 12. My guess is a species around
L. rugulipennis /
L. gemellatus, but this by no means a safe ID!
