Hello to all!
A friend of mine is looking for literature and/or websites to identify his diptera enclosed in amber (Baltic and Dominican). Has anybody got a recommendation for this subject?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Try to use literature for extant Diptera. For these two types of amber it will almost always suffice.

Thank you both,
I think we gonna stick to the literature for extant diptera, because none of us is very good in Asian writingB)

Of course, this will work to family level only. I am not aware of any (recent) publications that deal extensively with single families in Dominican and Baltic amber.

THERE is some info about extant diptera on "Evolution of the insects" of David A. Grimaldi, Michael S. Engel . ;)
