Few days ago I posted a thread with a small Philanthus with much black in the abdomen, that Theo identified as Ph. tirangulum. A day before I've found an enormous Philanthus, the biggest that I'v e seen never, the same size of a wasp (Vespula vulgaris), and the abdomen is almost entirely yellow.

Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. Urban park. 200 meters high. maybe 20-23 mm.

Thanks.

the specimen on the photo is P. triangulum, and the other all yellow specimen also may be a female of triangulum. The species is variable in size and body color.
