Hi helge,

A Drosophilidae from the genus Phortica. Two native and widespread European species. Some think the marks around the eyes and the colour of the apical tarsal segments are diagnostic. This is not the case in the North-Western European material I've seen. Only the male terminalia are diagnostic....

Female terminalia are diagnostic too. And if you have this specimen, it can be sent to molecular analysis. There are people eagerly wanting to compare Phortica specimens from various localities.
