Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Large mystery fly from Panama

I spotted this large insect approx 20mm in length on a wall in Anton valley Panama. My first thought was a type of Horsefly , but the proboscis looks like a Bee-fly .Can someone help with an ID please?

I'd suggest Fidena flavipennis (Tabanidae, Pangoniinae)
