Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Pinneberg-Waldenau near Hamburg, forest Klövensteen, way between a pond for fishing and grazing land; Outsidephoto: kuv, 24th of July 2017. Perhaps Neomochtherus geniculatus ? Please help to get the ID.

:-( I have to learn from it. So, if you used the key, you chose for 2b. femora black, tibiae red. I can understand although femur 1 has a large red part which should have lead you to 2c...... :-) I will have to think about improving......

don't worry - as I have not yet the real eye to Asilidae - I have to train more. So it's very nice that you identify the robberflies in diptera.info.
