Hi bgmot,
if I see it right (pic 2), the wasp seems to have a closed radial cell, so it can't be a chalcid wasp. But I don't have a glue, what else it could be, not even on superfamily level...

Antennae and wing venation are not clearly visible but it looks like one of the small Crabronids, such as
Spilomena.

Hi emppejay, hi bgmot,
are you sure? Hasn't this beast a blue metallic shine? Or is this an artefact from the surrounding? I've never seen a crabronid with metallic luster (although this doesn't mean, that it's not existing...)
