Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Xylota segnis (Syrphidae), Kristiansand - Norway <-----

I came across this species as it came flying to our house and started to walk around outside our basement. It was 14mm (0,55in) long. Unfortunately I only had my mobile camera, but when you study it from different angles you may see some details in structures and colours, like i.e the stripes on its thorax. I hope someone can help me out with this one.
The location is southern Norway, Kristiansand.

This is a fly that mimics a wasp - it is a hoverfly, Xylota segnis (Syrphidae)
