Hi

* locality - Montesinho - Bragan?a - PORTUGAL
* date - 2007.08.04
* size - 7 mm (medium fly)
* habitat - openland (near sea)
* substrate - near cereal

Montesinho is the best place I've seen so far for asilids! It is amazing!

EDIT----> Title changed from "Another asilidae in Montesinho" to "Asilidae - Ancylorhynchus sp."

Unfortunately, the proboscis is out of focus - looks like an Arabian dagger - unique in Asilidae and known from Europe in the genus Ancylorhynchus. Yours
