Sorting through my macro shots from this year and have been unable to ID the following.
pic #6 about 15mm long, pic #7 about 10mm long.

The first is
Chloromyia formosa, the second is (I think)
Beris vallata. Both are soldier flies. The reason why I am not sure about the second is that it is a lateral view and for females, the distinguishing characters are visible in dorsal view.
B. vallata has more yellowish wings than
B. clavipes and I think that is visible in this shot. As a rule, it is also found later in the year, but without date that the picture was taken, that cannot be verified now.

LoL, exactly in the period where both species occur in the Low Countries. So, no solution there. :(
