Hello,

sorry for the picture quality, this midge was not more than a moving spot to my bare eyes (< 1 mm). The more surprised I was, when I saw the beautifully spotted wings.

At night at light in garden (northwest Germany). Is a closer ID possible?

Many thanks, John! I thought of that genus, because the closest looking one to mine was a Culicoides sp. in the gallery. :)
