Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Mantodea from Miami

Today, my son sent this picture from Miami. I am convinced it is some mantodea. Anybody here will perhaps know this animal and can name it. It would be very grateful.

Miama, Florida, USA? Try browsing here: http://bugguide.n.../74/bgpage. According to the info page all species in USA are wingless except for one short-winged Florida species, which must be yours. But I don't know which it is.

In Miami, it should be Haplopus mayeri (Phasmatidae)
