Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Trypetoptera punctulata

Location: ~30 km N of Stockholm, Sweden
Date: 2007-JUN-16
Habitat: Mixed trees in copse in between tilled land
Size: a few mm

I'm pretty sure it belongs to the Tephritidae, but I didn't find a match in the gallery.

Not Tephritidae.
It's Trypetoptera punctulata (Sciomyzidae).
It is a trap, remind of a Tephritid indeed. ;)

Ohh, thanx a lot Stephane. Now that you mention Sciomyzidae I think I also see that the eyes are banded. Didn't think of it before.
