Hello to everybody
the pictures was taken last sunday in the country near Pisa, Italy. The insect was about 8-9 mm.
Is it possible to identify it? I guess it is a Bombylius, maybe minor, but i am not an expert at all...

I think Bombylius fulvescens Wiedemann in Meigen, 1820

The shot is from Southern Spain... I think is the same species

javig there is a high probability that you are right but there are so many spacies like this in southern europe that i would caution against being too confident unless you have the specimen and have keyed it.
