Based on the only semi-abundant recent field guide to insects in the region, this should be
Eristalis tenax.
But it looks nothing like
Eristalis tenaxas I know it, so I'm assuming that some innocent native Eristalinus (or thereabouts) is suffering persecution as an invasive.

Yes, a female Eristalinus sp. In some books indeed depicted as Eristalis tenax, but it's obviously not!
