Hello!

Sorry for the bad picture quality, it was again very windy yesterday. This fly from our garden (Ostwestfalen/Germany) was only about 4 mm long. Does it belong to family Sciomyzidae, possibly genus Egilva? Thanks!

Here they are not especially numerous, but also not rare. I think I must have found about half a dozen species up to now. I wish you good luck for finding some soon!

Yesterday I thought I found three new ones on a single day, when two other, slightly larger flies sat on the same Urtica as this Pherbellia. But when looking more closely, the two turned out to be a very small Scatophaga stercoraria and a very small other Scatophaga... ;-)

@Nikita and Kahis: Many thanks for the identification!
